Review

I wanted to read this immediately after finishing Shadow and Bone because who doesn't want more of the Darkling? I loved this little novella and the brief insight it gave into his childhood and his origins. It helps to understand what made him into the all-powerful and feared Darkling. When people are constantly trying to kill you as a child in order to take advantage of your power, you'd have to learn how to watch your own back and live life with a vengeance.

30 pages of Darkling are not enough! I wish it was longer. I could read hundreds of pages about the most compelling and intriguing character of the trilogy. Baby Darkling or all-powerful and slightly evil Darkling, I'm all in for #TeamDarkling.
